#RebuildOldSyaphru Project concludes successfully

The reconstruction of 21 residential houses completed in Old Syaphru Bensi. On December 5, 2016, the inauguration event took place in premises of the village where villagers, representatives from the project were present. The locals offered Khata ( Traditional Tibetan scarf) to Sunil Tamang (Project Lead), Lokendra Rai (Field Manager) and representatives of Old Syaphru Bensi Reconstruction and Management Committee. On this auspicious occasion villagers also thanked all the fundraising partners and donors from abroad who contributed to rebuild the houses in the village. Furthermore, speaking on inauguration program, Sunil Tamang highlighted importance of integrated effort by project team and locals to achieve fruitful result in the village. In addition, he mentioned, success of this residential reconstruction project in the village introduced “dawn from darkness, however sunshine is not yet prevailed”. He clarified to feel the comfort of sunshine in village, it is necessary to work together in other components like sustainable waste management, empowerment of locals for sustainable income generating activities, etc.

Similarly, Lokendra Rai, the field manager thanked villagers for their cooperation during the project duration for successful reconstruction. Few villagers who spoke on the event mentioned they are grateful to everyone involved in project and thanks all while look forward for support for future projects for sustainable development of Old Syaphru Bensi.

Personally I am very happy and proud to achieve the goal of #RebuildOldSyaphru Project. In this success, I want to appreciate my fundraising partners, particularly Wolfgang Bauer and 1 zu 1 Fur Nepal, Patrick Gansser and Hilfe Fuer Syabru and Kurt Micheal. In addition, I would like to extend my gratitude to Benjamin & Christina, Thomas Junker & Family from Germany, Ma Gy and Gabriel from Switzerland, Danielle Marchal from Belgium and other partners involved in the project. Moreover, I am personally in debt to my engineer friend Sujan Shakya and field manager Lokendra Rai for their endless effort to bring this project into great success. I should not miss to thank Andrew Haxby and Brenna K Murphy for their moral support and encouragement, villagers for their trust and cooperation. Importantly, I also want to extend appreciation to local leaders of all political parties for not disrupting the project. Last for not the least, many appreciation to my father and mother, who always encouraged to dedicate my effort to society and environment.

Its been amazing journey together. Lets cherish the success together.
